Work Flow

So I'm at work with my last week of basics and I've noticed a handful of naturals and often wonder about their hair story. Luckily one of these ladies happens to be in my class. She'll be 2 yrs natural in a month or so and over lunch we swapped hair stories. I keep forgetting that at some point those that had permed hair had the same issues of short curly hair with no idea what to do with it. It makes me feel supported that a total stranger is pushing me to be patient and just get to know my hair and the length will come.

Aside from that I'm really liking my new job. The possibilities, not to mention the money I'll be making. Hopefully I won't be too overwhelmed working full time and going to school. I need to stay busy like that though. More focus to just finish and still be secure at the same time. Plus who can argue with tuition reimbursement?? Not I.

Where to begin?

Who am I?

Funny question. Usually I answer with the typical government name, occupation, age and so forth. Yet I find that answer unsatisfying only because it's a cookie cutter response that modern day society has brain washed us to say immediately when asked.

I fancy a different approach to this question.

I am a Modern Day Geisha. I am a lover of all things art. I am a person who aspires to be a walking piece of art. Not in a sense where I wear crazy things or do amazing stunts and such, but I want to walk down a street full of people and when I am seen I just want this unanimous awe to overcome those that lay eyes upon me. I want to reek of so much originality and happiness that it becomes contagious like the common cold. Sure my fashion, choice of hair, and over all outward appearance will add to that but they are mere accessories to the main piece.

I'm sure many are like "what the hell is she saying that is impossible. there is no way that when I look at a person  I'm like ' ooo she's art". Lol. But actually you do. Everyone does. If someone catches your eye even if it's someone that you have a physical attraction for..you run through different possibilities as to who that person is and what their story is and if you can't figure it out it either hangs in your mind or you find yourself bold enough to find out. And that's all that I need. I need enough interest to where you just want to find out.

I could spit the whole, "I'm going to talk about fashion and hair and music, art, dance,..blah blah blah blah blah blah.."

or

You can just have enough interest in these words right here right now, to just find out.

So find out.
